Our joint work with the University of Florida covered by four international outlets

2025.06.11

Our USENIX Security 2025 paper “Sound of Interference: Electromagnetic Eavesdropping Attack on Digital Microphones Using Pulse Density Modulation” — a collaboration between the Sugawara group at The University of Electro-Communications and the University of Florida — was covered by four international outlets.

The coverage focuses on how electromagnetic emanations from the digital microphones in laptops and smart speakers can be used to reconstruct audio, even through walls.
